AZCThe Asylum Seekers Centre (azc) Utrecht is located in the former military hospital “Dr. A. Mathijssen” at the Joseph Haydnlaan. The azc houses up to 450 residents, spread over 146 rooms of different sizes. For 20 years, the azc has been part of the Utrecht neighborhood Oog in Al. Hence, the centre is completely intertwined with the neighborhood.
